Maria Unger is a multidisciplinary artist and communications professional with a background in Fine Arts, cultural studies, and digital media. After earning a BA in Fine Art at Oxford Brookes University, Maria pursued an MA in Cultural Studies, deepening an understanding of visual culture, history, and the evolving role of design in contemporary society.

Combining a passion for aesthetics with entrepreneurial spirit, Maria founded a business specialising in antique clothing and jewellery, curating rare pieces for film, television, and private collectors. This experience in sourcing, storytelling, and digital communications laid the foundation for a transition into visual media and public engagement.

Since 2023, Maria has worked in communications at the House of Commons, capturing the essence of parliamentary events through photography. Her work capturing key moments in Parliament has been featured in major media outlets, including BBC News, The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Times, Financial Times, and more. Through her lens, she documents the dynamic energy of political life, offering a unique perspective on the intersection of history, power, and the human experience.
